Hundreds of people visited Pontypool for a spooktacular Halloween event on Saturday.
Visitors enjoyed local bands, dance groups, craft stalls and a disco from Torfaen favourite Mad Mel.
Pontypool Indoor Market also hosted a Harry Potter inspired ‘Event that Must Not be Named’ where visitors enjoyed story telling from Pontypool Library, had the chance to meet live owls from Ebbw Vale Owl Sanctuary, and lots more.
The Pontypool Halloween Spooktacular was organised by volunteers from the Friends of Pontypool Town, while the ‘Event That Must not be Named’ was organised by market trader Lisa Klier.
Councillor Alan Jones, executive member with responsibility for business, said: “I would like to thank all of the volunteers who worked really hard to deliver such a fantastic event in Pontypool.”
Ymwelodd cannoedd o bobl â Phont-y-pŵl ar gyfer digwyddiad Nos Calan ar ddydd Sadwrn.
Mwynhaodd yr ymwelwyr fandiau lleol, grwpiau dawns, stondinau crefft a disgo gan ffefryn Torfaen Mad Mel.
Hefyd, cynhaliodd Marchnad dan Do Pont-y-pŵl ‘Ddigwyddiad Na Ddylid ei Enwi’ ar thema Harry Potter lle bu ymwelwyr yn mwynhau straeon gan Lyfrgell Pont-y-pŵl, cael cyfle i gyfarfod â thylluanod byw o Loches Tylluanod Glyn Ebwy, a llawer mwy.
Trefnwyd Digwyddiad Calan Pont-y-pŵl gan wirfoddolwyr o Gyfeillion Tref Pont-y-pŵl, a threfnwyd y ‘Digwyddiad Na Ddylid ei Enwi’ gan un o fasnachwyr y farchnad Lisa Klier.
Meddai’r Cynghorydd Alan Jones, aelod gweithredol gyda chyfrifoldeb am fusnes: “Hoffwn ddiolch i’r holl wirfoddolwyr a weithiodd yn galed iawn i drefnu digwyddiad mor wych ym Mhont-y-pŵl.”
