Torfaen council and the Gateway Credit Union are offering new start-ups a business loan to help them get up and running.
Start-ups can access a loan of up to £1500 to be paid back over two years. Businesses that have been trading for up to a year are also eligible.
Anyone wanting to find out more can attend a drop in session at Pontypool Indoor Market on Thursday 17 May from 4pm until 6pm. Organisations such as the Prince’s Trust and Business Wales will also be on hand to offer advice.

 'Darling Buds of May' at Llanyrafon Manor
Llanyrafon Manor will soon be hosting a
‘Darling Buds of May’ growing competition at the Manor. Entries are open to all
primary schools, nurseries and families in Torfaen. This is a great
little project and designs can be as small as a bird feeder or as big as a wheelbarrow.
Entry is free and there will be prizes & rosettes for winning
planters. Entries need to be submitted by 4pm, Thursday 24 May and it will
be put forward for judging. More
