Many residents have raised concerns about the on-going works on the A4042 Cwmbran ‘Rechem’ Roundabout. This roundabout is part of the trunk road network which is managed by Welsh Government, not Torfaen council. Please find an update from Welsh Government.

Torfaen Council was one the many local authorities in Gwent at the launch of the new Gwent Charter for Working Together at Greenmeadow Golf Club, Cwmbran on the 25 April. Chief Executive of Torfaen Council Alison Ward, local health board and third sector leaders were all present to pledge support for the new charter which enables people with disabilities to have their voices heard.

Roedd Prif Weithredwr Cyngor Torfaen, Alison Ward, ac arweinwyr y bwrdd iechyd lleol a’r trydydd sector i gyd yn bresennol i roi addewid i gefnogi’r siarter newydd sy’n galluogi pobl ag anableddau i gael eu lleisiau wedi eu clywed.
A Torfaen secondary school has been described as having a 'calm and pleasant environment' and showing improvements in quality of teaching, pupil attendance and behaviour following a recent visit by Estyn inspectors.
The inspectors reported that Abersychan Comprehensive School had made sufficient progress in relation to the recommendations from its core inspection that it would be removed from the list of schools requiring significant improvement.

Dywedodd yr arolygwyr bod Ysgol Gyfun Abersychan wedi gweld digon o gynnydd mewn perthynas â’r argymhellion o’i harolygiad craidd fel y byddai cael ei thynnu o’r rhestr ysgolion sydd angen gwelliant sylweddol.
