Around
30 young witches and wizards took part in Blaenavon Libraries’ celebration of
national Harry Potter Book Night.
Children began the evening by being placed into their houses by the Sorting
Hat, after which they created their own Bowtruckles and took part in a hunt for
magical items.
Dressed as their favourite characters, they also spent time discussing their
some of their best-loved moments from the books.
Bettina Robinson, senior library assistant, said: “Harry Potter Book Night is
celebrated all over the world and has become an annual highlight of our events
calendar.
“The Harry Potter books are loved by so many children and the night is an
opportunity for us to celebrate the books, and get children into the library
where they can discover thousands of new worlds to explore and stories to
enjoy.”
Cymerodd tua 30 o wrachod a dewiniaid ifanc ran yn

Dechreuodd y plant trwy gael eu gosod yn eu llysoedd gan yr Het Didoli, ac
wedyn creu eu Bowtruckles eu hunain a chymryd rhan mewn helfa am eitemau hudol.
Wedi eu gwisgo fel eu hoff gymeriadau, treulion nhw amser hefyd yn trafod rhai
o’u hoff ddarnau o’r llyfrau.
Dywedodd Bettina Robinson, uwch gynorthwyydd llyfrgell: “Mae Noson Lyfrau Harry
Potter yn cael ei dathlu ar draws y byd ac mae wedi dod yn un o uchafbwyntiau
blynyddol ein calendr digwyddiadau.
“Mae llyfrau Harry Potter mor hoff gan gymaint o blant ac mae’r noson yn gyfle
i ni ddathlu’r llyfrau a chael y plant i mewn i’r llyfrgell ble gallan nhw
ddarganfod miloedd o fydoedd newydd i archwilio a straeon i’w mwynhau.”
