 Pontypool Party in the Park takes place this Saturday 8 July from 11am until 5pm in Pontypool Park.
Just some of the highlights include top Beatles tribute band The Beatles Go On, a dog show, sporting activities, contemporary art from around Wales, farm animals, children’s parade, a full-sized fun fair, pop-up vintage tea rooms, 1940s jazz, and lots more.
The popular children’s parade will return at 2pm, with little ones able to make props and costumes to join in on the day.
There will also be a cycling flavour with sessions from Welsh Cycling and stunts from pro BMX rider Matti Hemmings.
For the first time the event will host a food and craft market in addition to the usual range of stalls, and the Shell Grotto and Folly will be open for the day.
Pontypool Party in the Park is held in partnership with Pontypool Community Council, Pontypool Regeneration Partnership, Torfaen Leisure Trust, Melin Homes, Bron Afon Community Housing and Fields in Trust.

Ymhlith yr uchafbwyntiau fydd band teyrnged enwog y Beatles The Beatles Go On, sioe gŵn, gweithgareddau chwaraeon, celf gyfoes o bob cwr o Gymru, anifeiliaid fferm, gorymdaith plant, ffair hwyl lawn, ystafelloedd te hen ffasiwn, jazz o'r 1940au a llawer mwy.
Bydd gorymdaith boblogaidd y plant yn dychwelyd am 2 o'r gloch, gyda chyfleoedd i'r plant wneud propiau a gwisgoedd i ymuno yn y dydd.
Bydd yna hefyd flas ar feicio gyda sesiynau gan Feicio Cymru a bydd Matti Hemmings y beiciwr BMX proffesiynol yn perfformio styntiau o bob math.
Am y tro cyntaf erioed bydd y digwyddiad yn cynnal marchnad bwyd a chrefftau yn ogystal â’r amrywiaeth arferol o stondinau a bydd y Groto Cregyn a’r Ffoli ar agor am y dydd.
Mae Parti yn y Parc Pont-y-pŵl yn cael ei gynnal mewn partneriaeth â Chyngor Cymuned Pont-y-pŵl, Partneriaeth Adfywio Pont-y-pŵl, Ymddiriedolaeth Hamdden Torfaen, Cartrefi Melin, Tai Cymunedol Bron Afon a Meysydd Chwarae Cymru.
