This year's elections saw a total of 29 Labour councillors, 11 independents and four Conservatives elected to serve as Torfaen county borough councillors. Of the 44 councillors elected, 21 will be new members.
Council staff were on hand to run polling stations across the borough and counted votes at Pontypool Active Living Centre through the night to deliver the results which were broadcast live on Facebook and Twitter through the early hours of the morning.
Community councils are being counted today.
Yn yr etholiadau eleni, cafodd cyfanswm o 29 o gynghorwyr Llafur, 11 annibynnol a phedwar Ceidwadwr eu hethol i wasanaethu fel cynghorwyr bwrdeistref sirol Torfaen. O'r 44 o gynghorwyr etholedig, bydd 21 yn aelodau newydd.
Roedd staff y Cyngor wrth law i redeg gorsafoedd pleidleisio ledled y fwrdeistref a chyfri'r pleidleisiau yng Nghanolfan Byw Egnïol Pont-y-pŵl drwy'r nos i gyflwyno'r canlyniadau a gafodd eu darlledu yn fyw ar Facebook trwy oriau mân y bore.
