Dewis website to launch in Torfaen

The Dewis website will be officially launched in Torfaen this Friday (10th March)
 
The Dewis website is the place for all information about well-being in Wales. The website will support the well-being of adults by providing resources from a network of social care, health, third and independent sector organisations
 
Cllr Richard Clark, Torfaen’s executive member for Social Care, Health and Wellbeing said: ‘Dewis is the place to go if you want information or advice about your well-being or want to know how you can help somebody else.
 
‘The website is packed with information about organisations and services that can help local people. People have told us that information is not easy to find. Dewis pull the right information into one easy to find place.

"If you’ve got a service that helps people with their well-being, you can add your details to Dewis Wales, so that the people who you want to help and support can find you more easily. It doesn’t matter how big or small you are, or whether you’re volunteers - if you help people with their well-being, Dewis Wales wants to know about you and about what you do, so that we can put people in touch with you."

Dewis Cymru currently has local information for North Wales, Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil.

The launch takes place this Friday 10 March from 2pm – 2.30pm at the Pontypool Active Living Centre, Torfaen, NP4 8AT and is part of the Torfaen Voluntary Alliance Information, Assistance and Advice day.

Lansio gwefan Dewis yn Nhorfaen

Bydd gwefan Dewis yn cael ei lansio’n swyddogol yn Nhorfaen ddydd Gwener yma (10 Mawrth).

Gwefan Dewis yw’r lle i gael yr holl wybodaeth am les yng Nghymru.

Bydd y wefan yn darparu cefnogaeth ar gyfer lles oedolion drwy ddarparu adnoddau gan fudiadau gofal cymdeithasol, iechyd, trydydd sector a sector annibynnol

Meddai’r Cyng. Richard Clark, aelod gweithredol dros Ofal Cymdeithasol, Iechyd a Lles yn Nhorfaen: "Dewis yw’r lle i fynd os ydych am wybodaeth neu gyngor am eich lles neu os ydych am wybod sut y gallwch helpu rhywun arall.

"Mae’r wefan dan ei sang â gwybodaeth am fudiadau a gwasanaethau a all helpu pobl leol.

"Mae pobl wedi dweud wrthym nad yw’n hawdd dod o hyd i wybodaeth. Mae Dewis yn cynnig y wybodaeth gywir mewn un man sy’n hawdd dod o hyd iddo.

"Os ydych yn cynnig gwasanaeth sy’n helpu lles pobl, gallwch ychwanegu eich manylion at Dewis Cymru, fel bod y bobl yr ydych am eu helpu a'u cefnogi, yn medru dod o hyd i chi'n haws, a hynny waeth pa mor fawr neu fach ydych chi, neu p'un a ydych yn wirfoddolwyr – os ydych yn helpu lles pobl, mae Dewis Cymru am wybod amdanoch a’r hyn yr ydych yn ei wneud, er mwyn i ni fedru cyfeirio pobl atoch."

Ar hyn o bryd mae gan Dewis Cymru wybodaeth leol ar gyfer Gogledd Cymru, Caerdydd, Bro Morgannwg, Rhondda Cynon Taf a Merthyr Tudful.

Cynhelir y lansiad ddydd Gwener yma 10 Mawrth o 2pm – 2.30pm yng Nghanolfan Byw Egnïol Pont-y-pŵl, Torfaen, NP4 8AT ac mae’n rhan o ddiwrnod Cyngor a Chymorth Cynghrair Wirfoddol Torfaen.
