New look for Greenmeadow subways

Subways in Greenmeadow have been revamped as part of a project to improve safer routes in the community. Local volunteers, with the help of Torfaen Play Service, are supporting the project to help improve local routes. A series of subways in the Greenmeadow area are currently being revamped and transformed to make them more inviting for the community to access.

Community council funds Cwmbran wildflower planting

Local residents and children from Maendy School have been sowing swathes of wildflowers in the Northville and Southville areas of Cwmbran, thanks to funding from Cwmbran Community Council.

Cwmbran security company expands with UK-wide deal

The Cwmbran-based Weston Facilities Management Group, headed by Simon Weston CBE, has signed a major national contract with leading integrated services provider, Speedy Services. Weston FM will be providing a full range of security services, including security dog units and front of house operatives, to Speedy Services’ sites across the UK.
