Budget Consultation 2018/19

Business Survey

As part of the annual budget setting process, South Hams and West Devon Councils have a statutory duty to consult with businesses on the Councils' Budget Proposals for the next financial year.

The Council would like to capture the views of businesses electronically (as we did last year) and we have designed a short questionnaire with five questions for this purpose.

We would be grateful if you could spare five minutes to share your thoughts. The survey will close on Friday 16 February and the results will be shared with all Councillors.

Key Points on the 2018/19 Budget Proposals in South Hams

South Hams District Council is currently forecasting a £0.64m budget gap by 2019/20.

Next year in 2018/19, the Council will receive no Revenue Support Grant (Government grant) and the Council will need to be self-sufficient. Over the last ten years from 2009/10 to 2019/20, the Council’s core government funding will have reduced by £4 million.
