Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service is searching for new ways to improve its overall services, so as to increase public safety and save lives. It wants to hear from local communities about its plan for a safe and resilient Hertfordshire - the ‘Community Risk Management Plan’ (CMRP). The plan is designed to minimise risks and enhance the responses to potential emergencies, ensuring the safety of local people.
|
The Fire and Rescue Service is particularly interested to hear from local businesses and have them share their thoughts about the plan. The responses will help the service to tailor its strategies to better address the needs of local organisations.

The Hertfordshire Growth Board is working with district councils and SaveTheHighStreet.org to offer business ‘health checks’, designed to assess where businesses are currently and what is required for them to achieve their goals.
The aim is to enable individuals to look at their businesses in ways they may never have done before and delve into what makes a successful business on the High Street.
There are two places remaining for the health checks, so if you run an independent high street business and would like to know more, please contact: lorna.lewis@savethehighstreet.org / joanne.arthur@savethehighstreet.org.

Hertfordshire Growth Hub, in partnership with Broxbourne Borough Council, is hosting a Business Continuity Summit on 21 November 2023, from 9am – 1pm, discussing the safeguarding of businesses for the future.
It's easiest to think of business continuity as the set of procedures that allow an organisation to continue operating during a crisis. In contrast, resilience is the capability to withstand the shock of an unexpected disruption and rebound to an acceptable state of ongoing operation.
Your objective is to identify the people, facilities, and assets that are required to achieve the four “R's” which are: Response, Resumption, Recovery, and Restoration.
