“20 Days in Mariupol” is showcasing at Lichfield Garrick
Citizens and guests of Lichfield will have an opportunity to watch an outstanding documentary about an Associated Press team of Ukrainian journalists trapped in the besieged city of Mariupol. Struggling to continue their work, they document the atrocities of the Russian invasion in 2022.
Directed by Mstyslav Chernov, the film won The Best Documentary Award (BAFTA) and is nominated for an Oscar.
A part of the revenue will be donated to the Forever Lida community to buy evacuation vehicles and supplies for the frontline. The community is named in honour of the founder’s grandmother, who was killed in Mariupol in March 2022.
The screening will take place on Friday, 22nd March 2024, at 7 pm. Please note this film is suitable for over 18’s only.

Easter Holiday Activities and Food Programme
If your child is eligible, they can have up to four free places on our Easter Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. This will run from Monday 25 March to Friday 5 April 2024, and includes a healthy meal with every place booked. Eligible children will have received a 'HAF' school code.
