Kinver Neighbourhood Plan
Neighbourhood Plans are community led plans which can help shape planning in their area.

The Kinver Neighbourhood Plan has been prepared by Kinver Parish Council to cover the whole of Kinver parish.
It has been independently examined, and now reached the stage of a referendum, a task which falls to the council.
If more than half of those who vote say yes, it will be used to determine planning applications in the area, alongside the Local Plan.
The referendum takes place on Thursday, August 24th, 2023.

Keeping our communities safe
We recognise the impact that crime and anti-social behaviour can have in our communities.
We, therefore, work closely together with our partners to reduce crime, the fear of crime and improve the quality of life for local people through the Community Safety Partnership Plan 2023-2026.

The themes for the plan are community cohesion, rural crime, fraud, road safety, drug use/dealing and health and wellbeing.
Community Safety Priorities are:
- Cross border crime – focus on Serious Acquisitive Crime (Vehicle Crime)
- Domestic Abuse (including Violence Against Women and Girls)
- Anti-social behaviour
- Perception vs Reality (Fear of crime)
- Themes: Community Cohesion, Rural Crime, Fraud, Road Safety, Drug use/dealing and Health and Wellbeing

Carbon Literacy training
To help your business reduce costs and your carbon footprint at the same time, South Staffordshire based businesses can access FREE Carbon Literacy Training (CLT).
This 8-hour training course will provide you the knowledge and skills to take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. You can choose whether to attend an in-person or online course. CLT:
- Focuses on the behavioural aspect of the fight against climate change.
- Provides individuals with the scientific evidence required to make well informed decisions about their impact on climate change.
- Provides individuals with the tools required to continue vital conversations around the climate change emergency.
Dates for the courses are:
- September 27th - in person/face to face event from 8:30am until 5:30pm at Stafford Rugby Club
- October 17th & 18th – online event, 09:00/09:15am IT check, starting at 09:30am finishing at 1:30pm

Partnership Updates
Community organisations cost-of-living fund launched
On July 24th the government launched a £76 million Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund to support communities most affected by the increased cost of living.
The fund will distribute grants to frontline services that have been impacted by increased demand and support low-income households and individuals. Eligible organisations can apply for grants of £10,000- £75,000.
To be eligible for this funding organisations must:
- offer critical services to low-income households and individuals around at least one of the following: food and emergency supplies, emergency shelter, safe spaces, warmth and financial or housing advice
- be able to demonstrate increased demand and increased costs for those critical services
- be registered with the Charity Commission or an incorporated not-for-profit company
- provide services to a local community in England – with a focus on small and medium organisations, although national organisations can apply where they can demonstrate local impact

The National Careers Service (NCS) provides high quality, free and impartial careers advice, information and guidance.
