 Southampotn's Festival of Words
Southampton's first Festival of Words has just been announced and will take place from 23 October until 1 November. It will feature books, plays, poetry and song. Performance, participation, workshops and wonder! Keep an eye on @SOToSpeak15 on Twitter for more details.

 Ocean and Earth Day
25 April / National Oceanography Centre / 10.30am - 4pm / Free
Get a greater understanding of the role of the oceans in our lives. Visitors will see examples of the technology needed to explore at the edge of humankind’s ability, how we access the depths and hostile environments of the oceans and to learn more about the important role they play in the Earth’s climate.
Visit the aquarium displays, operate an underwater vehicle, take a closer look at fossils and sea life, watch short informative talks and take part in a range of exciting hands-on activities.
