Southampton Maritime Festival

Sunday 5 May (11am - 8pm) and Monday 6 May (10am - 6pm) / Ocean Cruise Terminal, Dock Gate 4 / £5 in advance, £6 on the gate (under 18s free)

Come and enjoy an exciting two-day feast of activities and displays, organised by the Southampton Heritage Foundation in celebration of the 175th anniversary of the opening of Southampton Docks.

Southampton Water Activities Centre open day

Monday 6 May / SWAC, Floating Bridge Road / 10am - 4pm / £3 per activity or £10 to try them all

A family fun-filled day of watersport activities. Try sailing, crabbing, powerboat riding, raft building, keel boat sailing, 'walk on water' and dry land rowing. Click here for more information.

'Multilingual city' lecture by Dr Linda Cadier

Join us for this lecture by Dr Linda Cadier: Multilingual City: Migration and Languages in Southampton. Linda Cadier is from an Italian migrant family who came to live in Southampton at the turn of the twentieth century. She works in the 'Modern Languages' department at the University of Southampton. Click here for more information.
