Welcome to our winter newsletter which includes information about Christmas activities for children, and the latest eBook and eAudio downloads for Christmas.

Christmas Holiday Hours

Please note that all of our libraries will be closed from Thursday 24 December to Thursday 1 January (inclusive). They will re-open on Saturday 2 January 2016.

Join us for mince pies and warming hot chocolate, tea or coffee. All proceeds will be donated to the Countess Mountbatten Hospice in West End.

Winner of Favourite Book to Share Award 2015

The winner of the Favourite Book to Share 2015 is... So Cosy by Lerryn Korda, closely followed by A Lullaby for a little one by Dawn Casey and third was: A Surprise for Tiny Mouse by Petr Horacek.

Favourite Book to Share is an annual award voted for by children and their families to choose the book they enjoy reading together from a shortlist of 6. The titles can be borrowed from your local library.

Choral Clans - family singing in the library!

Sat 5 Dec / 10.30-12noon / Burgess Rd / Age 8 -108!

Join us for family singing workshops at libraries across the city. No experience or singing ability required, just bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to give it a go! Sessions are 45 minutes and led by choral director Fiona Funnell. Bring along your children, granny and granddad, niece or nephew or your best friend and sing sing sing! This 4 week course gives you all the information and details you need to be prepared for volunteering.
