Healthy Ageing in Shropshire Event
A limited number of places are available at Shropshire’s Healthy Ageing event, due to be held on Friday 28th November 2014, 9am–2.30pm at Shrewsbury Education and Conference Centre, Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The aims of the seminar and afternoon workshops are to look at some of the key determinants of healthy ageing, to establish what are the most effective preventive early interventions, and to discuss what should be included in transformation programmes across health and social care in Shropshire.
The event is of particular relevance to: senior stakeholders responsible for adult services and others such as, adult social care colleagues, elected members, consultants for older people, Health & Wellbeing Board members, NHS England area team, PHE, CCG colleagues, GPs, local authority older people's leads, community engagement leads, healthcare providers, commissioners, and the voluntary and community sector.

Professor Janet Lord (University of Birmingham)
Bob Laventure (Consultant, British Heart Foundation National Centre for Physical Activity)
Dr Irfan Ghani (Consultant in Public Health, Shropshire Council).

Dr Kevin Lewis (Director of Preventive Health Programmes, Public Health)
