New Easy Access Poolside Ladders

Many thanks to Stretton Pool Action who have purchased these Brand New Accessible Steps for our Pool! They were  able to purchase these with the help of generous grants from the Stretton Focus community grant scheme and the Walker trust (Charity of Charles  Clement Walker) We would like to thank them all for providing the funds to enhance  the use of the pool for all.

These Easy Access Ladders are Ideal for Elderly, Disabled or any Person who finds access to the pool difficult via standard ladders.

The Accessible steps will make getting in and out of the pool easier! And come complete with non-slip steps and grab rails to enable easy entry into the Swimming Pools Shallow end.

Important information regarding our swimming programme:

Firstly we would like to thank you for your continued support of the Shropshire Swim academy at Much Wenlock Leisure Centre. We will be taking a break from the normal programme of lessons when the current block of lessons finishes for the Christmas holidays, Lessons will then resume w/c 6th January 2025. In an effort to continually improve our swimming development programme we will be making a number of changes when lesson resume. We will be following the Swimming Teachers Associations New Grade initiative aimed at participants of all ages and abilities, offering a structured pathway to enhance their aquatic abilities whilst being accessible for all facilities. Developed in consultation with industry experts, the new Learn to Swim Programme will feature 5 progressive grades, which builds aquatic knowledge and skill development within each grade and rewards achievement through the programme. In line with STA’s ethos of teaching essential skills, the grades focus on stroke development, water safety, rescue skills, diving, and other swimming aptitudes to ensure participants are competent and well-rounded swimmers. Please can you all ensure that you re-enrol your child before the Christmas break to avoid disappointment as we anticipate lessons getting booked up very quickly. New pain management class starting at Church Stretton Leisure Centre in 2025

We are pleased to announce that we will be running this escape pain programme at Church Stretton leisure centre early next year. We are just in the process  confirming dates and times and we will announce these shortly, in the meantime if you would like any further information please contact Jodie.
