We are looking to recruit  exercise on referral instructors to work at both Bishops Castle & Church Stretton Leisure Centre on a casual basis to start will, but with the potential to lead to regular hours. 

To help Support the delivery of the programme of exercise referral and physical activity for adults with long-term health conditions, disabilities, or other needs across our leisure facilities. Candidates will require a minimum level 2 gym instructors qualification for this post.

 We are looking to recruit contracted Leisure assistant's to fit in with our established team at SpArC Bishops Castle Leisure Centre.

The minimum age to apply is 16 and you will require an NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)

The Exercise on Referral Scheme is a 12-week
programme which consists of:

• an initial consultation
• a 12-week exercise programme, tailored
to meet individual needs
• a final reassessment

Specialised Classes are held weekly, throughout
the programme and are led by a qualified instructor.

Its Never to Late to Start Exercising

We have a new specialised class  based on Strength, Conditioning and Balance for over 60’s. The class will be in a small group format to ensure all abilities are catered for and that each session is adaptable and accessible.

Classes run on Tuesday's @ 11am SpArC Bishops Castle

Wednesday's @ 11.15am Church Stretton 45 minutes Class

Shropshire Community Leisure Trust centres are offering free 7-days passes for people to try before they buy.

Choose from the Quarry in Shrewsbury Town Centre, Market Drayton Swimming & Fitness Centre, Oswestry Leisure Centre or Shrewsbury Sports Village*.

Three of the centres have swimming pools, while all have well equipped gyms and a range of workout classes for all abilities.
