In honour of the International Day of People With Disabilities on 3rd December, Vibrant Shropshire: A Cultural Compact presents a webinar on Overcoming Barriers to Participation in Culture. This webinar will be led by Zoe Partington, Creative Equality Trainer and International Advisor at Zoe Partington Associates, and Hannah Prior, Creative Director of Ignition.
The webinar will cover issues around accessibility and inclusion in the cultural sector and the types of barriers to participation faced by various communities including members of the community with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), young people, the financially disadvantaged, older people at risk and isolated rural communities. At the webinar we will discuss the steps that organisations and individuals can take in order to be more inclusive as well as offering examples of best practice.
Please note that this webinar will be recorded and a transcript will be produced. This will be shared online via our webpage.
