To help Support the delivery of the programme of exercise referral and physical activity for adults with long-term health conditions, disabilities, or other needs across our leisure facilities
To undertake the delivery of the Exercise on Referral Scheme giving initial fitness inductions, progress reviews, supervising client’s physical activities and carrying out pre and post assessments.
We are looking for an individual with personality and who possess the potential, flair, and skills to contribute to this team with energy and enthusiasm.

STA Award in Teaching Swimming
The first step in your swimming teaching career, teaching essential swimming skills, water safety and all four key strokes to participants. We are looking to recruit swimming teachers at Much Wenlock, Church Stretton and SpArC Bishops Castle Leisure Centres. Just a reminder there will be no Adult Lane Swimming sessions this week between 9am-10am - This is due to our Intensive Swimming Lessons for children.
All other Adult Lane sessions will remain as normal as per the school holiday pool program.

During August our afternoon Family Fun swimming sessions will resume. Join us every afternoon (Mon-Fri) from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
Our Morning Family Fun Sessions will also run from 10am until Midday.

If you are aged 13-17 and are using the gym or the pool on a more regular basis. We have a 13-17yrs Membership - This entitles you to exercise in the gym and swim as much as you want to!*
*In unsupervised sessions 13-15yr olds must be accompanied in the gym by an adult (16+) The package costs £17.50 and can be paid by cash/card at the centre for each month.

This offer is for local young people aged 12 to 16 who are eligible for HAF free gym membership, swimming sessions and food vouchers over the Summer Holidays at Much Wenlock Leisure Centre.
During 24th July to 5th September HAF eligible young people will get Free Membership, including unlimited access to

The Exercise on Referral Scheme is a 12-week
programme which consists of:
• an initial consultation
• a 12-week exercise programme, tailored
to meet individual needs
• a final reassessment
Specialised Classes are held weekly, throughout
the programme and are led by a qualified instructor.

Its Never to Late to Start Exercising
We have a new specialised class based on Strength, Conditioning and Balance for over 60’s. The class will be in a small group format to ensure all abilities are catered for and that each session is adaptable and accessible.
Classes run on Tuesday's @ 11am SpArC Bishops Castle
Wednesday's @ 11.15am Church Stretton
45 minutes Class

The 2023 Summer Reading Challenge will launch on 8th July in a library near you.
The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to keep reading during the school summer holidays – and to enjoy anything they like to read! Children from preschool to 12yrs are invited to set a reading goal and collect rewards for their reading.
It’s FREE to take part, and Shropshire Libraries have many exciting activities to join in with during the summer.
Why should my child sign up?
- They will be better prepared to return to school in the autumn.
- The Challenge supports the move into a new year group.
- Becoming more independent in their reading boosts children’s confidence and self-esteem.
- The library provides free access to books and fun family activities all through the summer.
- Library staff are on hand to offer support and book recommendations.
How can my child take part?
Visit your local library and sign up from the 8th July
Your child will:
- Set a reading goal for the summer and borrow and read books, eBooks and audiobooks. Your child can choose anything they like to read!
- Receive a Challenge folder and collect special stickers along the way. If successful in reaching their reading target, they will be rewarded with a medal and certificate.
