There’s another school holiday just around the corner, and we know that the holidays can be a struggle for many families – trying to balance life and keep the children occupied and entertained can be a challenge.
Thankfully information on holiday clubs and things to do during the school holidays can be found on the online Family Information Service Directory.
You can click this link for holiday clubs and then filter by area or postcode. And keep checking this link for school holiday activities, which are being added all the time.

Shropshire Information Advice and Support Service (IASS) provides information, advice and support to parents and carers of children aged 0 to 25, and young people aged 16 to 25 who have, or may have, special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
It has been a busy few months for our little IASS Team supporting families across Shropshire. We will remain open over the summer holidays, so you can still contact us by telephone or email during this time.
IASS are so happy to see our Facebook page has reached 1000 followers!! If you haven’t already, please find us at IASSShropshire and look out for lots of summer holiday information, local activities and tips on how to plan and manage what can be a challenging time for many families.
Our fantastic IASS Youth Worker Lynne has been meeting with students face to face to offer support. She has developed a passion for Uno and canteen cauliflower cheese! She is liaising with student support at one college to develop a social space for students to use when they are not in class. She has supported pupils with transition from secondary school to their 16+ setting, and has planned to visit them in September to hear how they are enjoying college. Lynne posts on the Young IASS Facebook page, supported by her good mate Leo the Labrador, who often features in the photos. Check it out for information, observations and some good old mindfulness to help things along! Here is our information poster, designed and printed with young people. We think they did a great job! If you would like more details, or have any questions, please get in touch.
