Hundreds of volunteers from all walks of life are working hard to support the enormous task of vaccinating residents against COVID-19.They are the unsung heroes, and we would like to thank everyone for their efforts during the vaccine rollout.

The council and partners have helped over 200 residents get to their vaccine appointments.
Since the launch of this free transport service, 25 private organisations and community passenger groups have volunteered to help extend the service beyond the council’s own vehicle fleet.
If you or someone you know would benefit from this free service, contact the council via the COVID-19 helpline on 0345 678 9028 and select option 0.
There was a slight decrease (5%) in the number of positive cases across Shropshire in the last week.
While our numbers continue to fall, we're not out of the woods just yet.
Over the past week, we have seen an increase in cases linked to both work places and care homes. To drive Shropshire’s rates down even further we need to continue sticking to the Hands, Face, Space rule and stay at home for all but essential reasons.
If you have symptoms, please self-isolate and organise to get tested.
More businesses in Shropshire are being offered the opportunity to take part in a rapid Covid-19 testing programme for their employees.
Testing for people without symptoms helps to identify and isolate cases and break the chain of transmission.
A number of local businesses and organisations have been supported by the council to help deliver their own training for staff.
We can assist businesses with equipment, training, and all the advice they need to establish their own testing programmes.

Although all non-essential shops are currently closed due to the national lockdown, many independent traders in the county are taking online orders and some are even offering home delivery.
We are encouraging everyone to Think.Shop.Buy.Local online and help our local businesses during these challenging times.
