Planned improvement scheme on the A51 / A525 (Woore, North Shropshire)

Essential road resurfacing works are planned to commence on the A525 from the junction with the A51 heading East (see attached plan). This work will commence on 12 June 2017 between the hours of 9:30am and 4pm.

It is estimated the works will take 5 weeks to complete. Work will not be undertaken at a weekends.

Works will be undertaken by Ringway, our term maintenance contractor.

During the works the A525 will be closed to through traffic between the above times to allow the work to be undertaken safely. In addition the A51 will be closed on Friday 30 June between the hours of 7pm and 6am at the junction with the A525.

A fully signed diversion route will be in place during the road closures and this information is also attached to this page.

During the closure access to the works area will be restricted to:

• Essential highway personnel
• Local residents who live and reside within the road closure
• Businesses located within the closure (if applicable)
• Pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians
• Emergency service vehicles

Please note, this work is weather dependent and part of a large programme which may be subject to unforeseen delays. As usual with works of this nature there will be some disruption whilst the works are undertaken, however every effort will be made to keep any disruption to a minimum.
