If you're looking for a new career, fostering could be the answer.
Fostering isn't a job - it's so much more than that - but as a foster parent you get paid while caring for children.
You may want to work full-time or part-time as well as fostering. The financial support we offer means that you can choose what's right for you.
Fostering could enable you to 'work from home' while caring for your own young children, rather than having to return to work.
You could even pursue other interests during the day while the children in your care are at school.
Fostering offers great flexibility, as well as being extremely rewarding.
Could it be the right move for you? To find out more, attend an information evening, get in touch (details below), or visit our website www.sheffield.gov.uk/fostering to read more about what's involved.
To get even more insight into fostering with us, you can book onto one of our monthly, online, information evenings.
You’ll hear from our foster parents and social workers about the process of becoming a foster parent, how to handle difficult situations, and the support we offer, and you can ask any questions you might have.
If you attend a session, there's no obligation to continue right now - or at all! It's simply a great way to find out more about what it's really like to foster, to help you decide if it's right for you.
Our next ones are:
- Wednesday 16 August, 6pm to 7.30pm
- Thursday 21 September, 6pm to 7.30pm
Visit our website www.sheffield.gov.uk/fostering, call us on 0114 273 5075, or email us at fostering@sheffield.gov.uk to find out more about fostering with us.
We’d love to hear from you.
