Somerset Film invites the community to an imaginative event to “Shape the Landscape of Taunton”, where participants can use those world-famous plastic bricks to reimagine and reshape the town’s landscape.
This interactive event, inspired by the innovative works of artist Olafur Eliasson, will take place from Tuesday 13 to Friday 16 August 10.30am to 4pm, at The Brewhouse Theatre, TA1 1JL.

Did you know, 73% of UK adults have been targeted by scams, with 35% losing money because of this criminal offence, but fewer than a third report the crime to the authorities.
Friends Against Scams believe the shame and worry can put victims off reporting scams, and they have launched the No blame no shame campaign to help reduce the stigma.
Here’s some ways you can help:
- Change the language you use to describe victims. Remember: No blame. No shame.
- Talk to your friends and family about fraud, scams and financial abuse. Share your stories and help to raise awareness.
Protect yourself and loved ones from fraud and scams by taking the Friends Against Scams online training.

The British Medical Association (BMA) and GPs have voted to take national collective action starting yesterday (Thursday, 1 August).
GP Services will remain open and you can still book appointments. Patients should continue to contact their practice as usual for their healthcare needs. However, some GPs may direct patients to other local services.
Do attend any planned appointments unless your GP tells you otherwise.
For more info and to access health and care services during the action in Somerset, visit NHS Somerset’s GP Collective Action webpage.
