DESNZ's 'It all adds up' Energy Street Twitter video
Watch TV presenter and consumer champion, Dom Littlewood, as he meets up with the local residents of Energy Street to help them get energy efficient and save money this winter.
Dom works with a B&Q expert to help show the residents of Energy Street how they can reduce their energy bills by taking simple energy reduction actions around their households.
This week the Violence Reduction Partnership has started Highlight Youth Hubs with Young Somerset in Bridgwater and Taunton.
The Bridgwater Hub will run from 4-6pm on Fridays in Coffee#1, Fore Street and the Taunton Hub will be 3-5pm on Saturdays in McDonalds, East Street.
The hubs are part of a series of initiatives being put in place to address some of the concerns raised by young people in our recent survey relating to their experiences of anti-social behaviour and violence in Bridgwater and Taunton town centres.

This week, Connect Somerset Champion Paul shares how a new focus group is helping to support young people in West Somerset.
“We hosted a multi-agency event at Minehead Eye which was attended by over 50 professionals, facilitating networking between those who hadn’t previously collaborated.”
“By getting members of health and education sectors, including health coaches, village agents, and voluntary organisations, school counsellors and nurses to work together, it fuelled conversations and collaborative working that will help to reduce issues for young children and families, including low children’s school attendance.”

Somerset Community Foundation (SCF) is looking for an individual to volunteer on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Community Fund Awards Panel – and applications from people with knowledge of communities west of Hinkley Point are particularly welcome.
Somerset Community Foundation manages the HPC Community Fund, awarding grants to community groups and local organisations who are supporting those impacted by the HPC project, or helping people to access opportunities that have arisen because of the project.
