Registered Childcare for Key Workers and Vulnerable Children
Are you a key worker or do you have a vulnerable child?
We have put together a list of all the schools that are opening and a list of all the registered childcare that is available to you in Sandwell.
If you are having trouble finding childcare or need further information or advice please contact Sandwell Family Information Service via email: family_information@sandwell.gov.uk
Please remember only send your child if you have to because your work is critical to the coronavirus response. If you can keep your child safe at home, do so.
Education and fun activity resources for families staying at home
Most of us are now caring for our children at home. We're all doing this to reduce the spread of the virus and save lives. If you work for a school, nursery or pre-school, or are a childminder who is caring for vulnerable children and helping key workers continue to do their jobs, we salute you. For those parents and carers who are now at home trying to plan a range of activities for their children - we're here to help. We've gathered some resources to help you and your children during the coming weeks, including learning activities, arts and crafts and games.
We wanted to remind you that it's important you are kind to yourselves during this time. Don't feel that you have to have a strict timetable (although you may feel it's helpful to plan your day). If you're trying to juggle working and childcare, you may feel overwhelmed and that you don't have as much time. Whatever your situation - be kind to yourself. Some days may be better than others and that's OK. Don't forget to have some fun too. It's just as important to:
- play games
- cuddle on the sofa and watch films
- do silly dancing
- laugh together
