The forecast task will be available on the provider portal from 8 November 2022. In order to avoid late submissions please make sure that your current log in details are working. Contact us at eyfunding@portsmouthcc.gov.uk if you have password issues that need resolving. The deadline for submission is 12 November 2021.

All providers will need to complete the task to claim early education funding for their two, three and four year olds who are registered to attend in the Spring term 2022. Payment will be made to providers in the first week of January based on the information you submit to us.

Please remember:

  • Parents must have completed and signed the parental declaration form before you add children to the forecast task. You may want to consider issuing this form to parents as part of your registration process.

You can still claim funding for children who start after the submission date by adding them to the headcount actual task which will be issued in January 2022.

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)

A number of you have been in touch in previous terms to say that you believe a child should be eligible for EYPP but hasn't been identified as such when the checks are run by our team. Typically if we get a false result it is because the digits in the National Insurance number are in the wrong order, dates of birth are incorrect or the surname is wrong. Please ask parents to be mindful when completing this part of the parental declaration form. For each eligible child you could receive up to an extra £300 to put towards training or resources.

Also, for colleagues in schools, you may have children whose siblings are eligible for FSM or Pupil Premium but they do not meet the criteria for EYPP. The reason for this is that pupil premium eligibility in schools is for those pupils who are eligible for free school meals, or have been eligible in the past 6 years (therefore families income for the younger child may well have changed).
