Lakes and Lagoon Day in Poole Park

Poole park lagoon

Come and join us for a ‘Lakes and Lagoon day’ in Poole Park on Thursday 12th July.

You can get involved in our ‘Only Rain Down the Drain’ campaign, with art in the park and support and advice from Litter Free Coast and Sea. Or why not learn all about how water (and anything else) that goes in to a road side drain ends up straight in the lagoon in Poole Park.

If you fancy getting involved, make sure you wear your wellies and old clothes; we will have gloves, litter pickers and tools available.

Flaghead Chine's new look

As part of the Seafront Development Programme funded by the Coastal Communities fund, £55,000 is being used to improve the area at the bottom of Flaghead Chine where a new Seaside Garden is being created.

The old brick paving has been removed, Purbeck stone planters and seats have been installed and the surrounding area is now re-surfaced.

4 new beach huts were installed on 12th June and after resin bound gravel is laid, the 3 sculptures should be delivered on 20th June.

Harbourside Park consultation

Last month we asked for your thoughts and wishes for Whitecliff and Baiter, thank you to everyone who contributed their opinions and views for this well loved open space.

The public consultation has now closed and we are busy reviewing the 574 responses and compiling a plan of work which we will announce soon.

Keep up to date with the project
