Thank you to all those who supported the project including Tesco, The Heritage Lottery Fund, The Bittersweet Harmony and Care Free Choirs, The Fence Stores Group, Suttles Stone, The Ark and the families who donated benches through the Bench Memorial Scheme.

Finally, a big thank you goes to everyone who worked on the project, including those involved in the design, Borough of Poole Streetscene and the gardening volunteers. We hope that everyone enjoys this new feature to Poole Park!

Improvements at Blake Hill Viewpoint

Blake Hill Viewpoint is a fantastic wooded open space offering wonderful views of Poole Harbour in the Penn Hill ward. The viewpoint is a wooded space around 1.8 hectares in size and its well worth the short climb for the beautiful views!

Works started in December to improve access and manage the woodland to increase biodiversity and restore a small area of heath. A new staircase will improve the access from Elgin Road and the several entrances that lead to the viewpoint will be improved with new finger posts installed.

Why not take a visit this Christmas? The closest postcode is BH18 8QS.
