Welcome to our 16 days of activism programme 2023.
From 24 November to 10 December, this year's calendar of events will raise awareness of gender-based violence and encourage individuals and organisations across Perth and Kinross to show their support to eradicate violence against women and girls.
Our overarching aspiration for this year is to "imagine a Perth and Kinross, free from gender based violence" and these 16 days of events serves as a pivotal step towards this vision.
Please note that this programme may be subject to some changes. Visit Violence against Women Partnership website and Perth and Kinross Council's Facebook page for the latest news.

Sexual Harrassment - The Truth
Sexual violence is experienced by women and children every day, all over the world. While other recorded crimes in Scotland decline, violence against women remains at the third highest level since 1971.
This event will look to explore the reality of sexual violence experienced by women and girls in the UK, the impact this has on survivors and the role we all play in ending violence against women and girls.
We'll be showing the Channel 4 documentary “Undercover: Sexual Harassment – the Truth” followed by a panel discussion with staff from the Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (RASAC), Perth and Kinross Council and other professionals working to end violence against women in Perth and Kinross.
This event is for individuals aged 18 and above and attendees may be asked for identification. Participants are gently reminded the conversation may revolve around sensitive topics such as rape, sexual assault and/or harassment. Sexually explicit language and blurred sexual imagery are used during the documentary.
Rest assured, supportive staff will be on hand throughout and after the event.
