New Productivity Strategy for the HotSW area Representatives from 23 organisations across Devon and Somerset agreed steps to drive up productivity at the first meeting of the Heart of the South West (HotSW) Joint Committee on Friday 23 March. The inaugural meeting of the Joint Committee unanimously endorsed the Productivity Strategy that has been taking shape over the last two years and aims to double productivity over 20 years. Sustainable travel grants Organisations in Plymouth can now apply for up to £5,000 for schemes to make it easier for their staff to travel to work either by bike, on foot, or by bus. Match funding of up to £5,000 is being made available through Plymouth City Council’s Plymotion at Your Workplace programme, to provide facilities or initiatives to encourage employees to leave their car at home, and make the switch to greener modes of transport.
