CFRS Unison Rep
My name is James Gibson, Assistant Branch Secretary of UNISON Cumbria Police Branch and Crime Scene Manager (CSM).
It is my great pleasure to inform you of my appointment as your UNISON Trade Union workplace representative in this respect.
By way of introduction, I have served in policing roles for the past 30+ years, initially joining Cumbria Constabulary as a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) in February 2001 and qualifying as a UNISON union steward shortly thereafter.
 |
|
As a UNISON Rep I have proudly represented many colleagues across departments, working hard to navigate through a very large range of diverse and impactive issues which have affected some or all staff, campaigning tirelessly to achieve best outcomes possible for our members. |
I am a graduate of the UNISON Northwest Organising Academy and have the personal skills and experience necessary to provide an increased level of trade union support to you and your colleagues in the workplace.
I understand the importance of the work you do and how austerity may have left members feeling undervalued, underpaid, and overworked.
If you are a UNISON member and wish to have a conversation, or you have an interest in joining UNISON, please do not hesitate to contact UNISON on the following details: james.gibson@cumbria.police.uk or join online at joinunison.org.uk I look forward to working together with UNISON members and the organisation so together we can achieve positive outcomes.
