We've loved seeing lots of your pictures and videos of the path throughout the year, thank you for sharing your adventures with us! As 2024 draws to a close, take the time to stop, look and listen to the soundtrack of the Welsh coastline: the bird tunes, the rhythmic lap of the waves, the crunch of sand beneath your feet and the taste the salty sea air.
Whilst it's tempting to stay indoors and be cosy when it's cold and bleak outside, let's make the most of the winter sun whilst it shines. Our short and interesting walk ideas will invigorate you and are ideal for catching up with friends and loved ones during the festive period too.
Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year - see you in 2025! 🎄
We want your winter snaps! Help us monitor the Welsh coastline throughout the seasons.
You may have seen these metal cradles and CoastSnap signs along the path on your travels.Simply place your phone in the metal cradle, take a photo of the view in front of you and upload it to our friends at the Wales Coastal Monitoring Centre.
They will process all the pictures they receive to monitor any changes in the coastal environment - approx 4,000 images have been subnitted so far! There's just over 30 CoastSnap sites, with more being added next year.

We always think summer is the best way to experience the coast path but North Wales Wildlife Trust have convinced otherwise! Their fantastic blog highlights the wildlife wonders throughout the seasons along the path.
Watch out for Deadman's fingers (despite the gruesome title, they are actually a type of coral!), along with lots of wildfowl and wading birds in estuaries and mudflats on your winter walks.
