We're part of the global citizen science project Coast Snap in partnershio with the Wales Coastal Monitoring Centre (WCMC). Every snap of the coast will help our good friends at WCMC monitor any changes to the coast due to ciamate change.
Find one of our special phone cradles at points along the entire path, take a snap of the view in front of you and upload it. Since 2022, over 3,000 pictures have been uploaded to create timelapses like this one at Penarth Pier
Coming soon: New phone cradles are being added in Swansea Bay and Green Bridge of Wales in Pembrokeshire.

Loved by millions, Shaun the Sheep is on tour telling us all about the Countryside Code - how we can all respect, protect and enjoy the great outdoors.
Did you know? He's on tour at events across Wales! Get a selfie with him at this year's Royal Welsh Show (22-25 July, Countryside Care Area, Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru/Natural Resources Wales, stand number 878 ) and National Eisteddfod (August). See his tour dates

It keeps you on the path by showing where you are in relation to it. You can also track your progress for each section and shows you how much you've done overall. Find out more about the app Search for: "The Wales Coast Path" on App Store and Google Play.
Prefer something simpler? Our downloadable and printable passports divide up the entire 870 mile path into 3-6 miles sections. These are perfect for planning your walks and doubles up as a tick list when you've walked each section....how satisfying!

It's important that we have a break from our screens and devices and take a moment in nature. Take the time to stop, look and listen to the soothing sounds of nature on your walks on the path. Listen to an oystercatcher - a resident on the Dee Estuary.
But technology has made it easier for us to get closer with nature. There's a number of nature apps available to download including one that can identify bird calls (we love the Merlin bird app for this!) and plants and animals that you may come across on your walks along the path (iNaturalist).
