World Book Day 7th March 📚

On World Book Day, remember there are official guidebooks fro the path that are available (7 altogether) published by Northern Eye Books. Packed with useful information on where to walk, transport link, places of interst with colour maps, to help you plan your walk.

World Poetry Day 21 March 🖋️

The Welsh coastline is a comforting source of inspiration for many poets here in Wales. In 2022, a special Wales Coast Path Blessing was written to commemorate the path's 10th anniversary.

Penned by Ifor ap Glyn, former National Poet of Wales, the blessing wishes you all a safe onward journey on the path. On World Poetry Day, be sure to listen to blessing (opens in YouTube) to give you inspiration for your future journeys on the path.

The Wales Coast Path Blessing is also available in print and on clothing.

We’ve seen lots of people planning where they are going to walk next year. Remember our Plan your Visit page is jam packed with useful resources to make the most of your time on the path, such as:

Interactive map – see where the path is closest to you and plot your route.
Distance tables – approximate distances between major towns and villages to plan breaks along the way.
Temporary diversions – the latest diversions to the path
Walking itineraries - ranging from 3-13 miles, including wheelchair friendly routes.

Wales Coast Path Facebook Community – a useful, friendly group of like-minded walkers where you can ask any questions about where to start your Wales Coast Path adventure.
