Testing over half-term
Let's carry on keeping each other safe by continuing to take lateral flow tests regularly.
Parents and guardians are being asked to make sure children at secondary school and college continue testing over half-term, and to take a test before going back to school or college. Regular testing helps to keep the spread of Covid-19 under control by identifying cases and limiting the spread of the virus.
If you're meeting friends or family for Halloween this advice is to meet outside. If you are indoors keep windows open to let plenty of fresh air in.
Fresh air helps blow away the Covid-19 particles and keep everyone safe from spreading the virus.

If you are fully vaccinated and return to England from countries not on the UK’s red list, you can take a cheaper lateral flow test instead of a PCR test.
You can book day two lateral flow tests through the private providers listed on GOV.UK from around £22 per test – you cannot use NHS tests.
