Everyone without Covid-19 symptoms can get FREE rapid tests

Find out how to get free rapid lateral flow tests

One-third of people with coronavirus do not have symptoms but can still infect others. Rapid testing detects positive cases quickly which can help to break chains of transmission in our local communities. Anyone in Nottinghamshire who does not have symptoms can get regular rapid lateral flow tests to check for coronavirus.

Free rapid Covid-19 tests

If you have coronavirus symptoms

You need a different test called a PCR test if you have at least one of the three main coronavirus symptoms:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • you’ve lost your sense of smell or taste or it’s changed

You can book this test online or by calling 119.

New changes to restrictions in Step 2

We've moved on to the second step of the Government's four-step plan out of lockdown where some sections of our indoor economy and more outdoor settings have reopened, including non-essential retail, personal care services and outdoor hospitality venues. See a summary of step 2 [PDF].

Roadmap step 2

Changes to weddings and civil partnerships

Wedding services

From this week wedding and civil partnership ceremonies may continue to take place in licensed buildings that are permitted to open.

This applies to Worksop, Newark, Mansfield, West Bridgford and Arnot Hill Registration Offices. The permitted numbers attending the ceremony depends on the size of the room and also what is possible when adhering to the social distancing rules. It may be possible to have up to 15 people, including the bridal couple, but this does depend on the circumstances and could be less.

Please contact your venue to discuss how this will affect you.
