Calling all over 65s! You can now book your Covid-19 vaccination

Vaccination appointments are now open to the over 65s

If you are over 70 or clinically extremely vulnerable, you can also use the National Booking System to book your vaccine appointment, provided you are registered with a GP (so your records can be matched).

Please use the website where possible. Phone lines are open between 7am and 11pm seven days a week. British Sign Language, text relay and interpreter services are available.

Older People Exercise

£200,000 funding has been approved for a Local Area Co-ordinator scheme to help people with low level health and social care needs be more independent and make a difference in their area.

Three Local Area Co-ordinators will work around the county to help people be more independent; make a difference in their area; link with community groups and set up new groups and activities.

Loneliness

Nottingham Forest Community Trust are tackling loneliness together by offering activities, events and support for people aged 50 and over.

We know that many people will have a support network in place with family and friends, but this project aims to identify those who aren’t so fortunate. For those who want it, the Trust are offering different initiatives from socially distanced home visits, fun online activities, pen pal schemes and more.

Story hunt

 

If you’re looking after the grandchildren this half term as part of a childcare bubble, Inspire Online offers a feast of virtual activities to enjoy.

As well as books, author events and reading ideas, popular children's activities are on offer, including The Girl of Ink and Stars audio drama and Story Explorers; Rainforest Rescue, an online interactive storytelling adventure in association with Nottingham Playhouse. For kids aged 3-7, join John Kirk for ‘We’re going on a story hunt’ live on Friday 19 February. Free places are limited.
