Recognising coronavirus symptoms
It is in the hands of every individual to take action and prevent the spread of coronavirus in our communities. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 – high temperature, continuous cough or loss of taste or smell – self-isolate immediately and book a test online or call 119. Please do not go to A&E or call your GP to get a test.
Everyone must continue to play their part by following national restrictions and hands, face and space guidance in full to help us to get more control over the virus and give us all the chance of a potentially normal Christmas.
If you or someone you know is self-isolating as a result of the latest lockdown restrictions, you’re reminded that our online Community Hub is open and provides a range of support, putting you in touch with volunteers and community groups who can help.
It also provides guidance on how to look after your mental and physical health needs to assist you in staying well.

This winter more than ever, with COVID-19 still circulating, we need to help reduce all avoidable risks. You can help protect the NHS, social care and loved ones by getting the flu vaccine – the single most effective way to prevent getting the flu and protecting those close to you.
Those eligible for the free vaccine are over 65s; pregnant women; school children up to year 7; toddlers aged 2 – 3; carers and people with underlying health conditions.
