Keep up-to-date with the changes to our Council services
A number of our services including schools, transport and household waste and recycling centres are still running as usual throughout the 28 days of national restrictions from 5 November - 2 December.
Some services including libraries, children's centres, youth services and weddings/civil partnerships have been changed or temporarily postponed until it is safe to return to business as usual.
All of our services will be kept under review during this period but the important thing now is that everyone plays their part by following the new guidance and rules in full to help us to get more control over the virus. Please continue to check our website for all the information you need.
Established local charities and voluntary groups taking an active role in responding to urgent needs of Nottinghamshire residents - particularly those who can’t afford food and other essentials - can continue to apply to the Emergency Assistance Fund.
More than £348,000 has already been allocated to groups across the county, including a community project run by Christ Church in Chilwell and St Barnabas Church in Inham Nook which received more than £800 to help continue to provide food supplies for local families in need. Reverend Mike Forsyth of the church group welcomed the Fund and encouraged more groups to apply.

We have reopened our COVID-19 Community Fund to support established local groups which continue to help vulnerable residents affected by the pandemic.
The Fund awarded almost £700,000 to more than 250 projects between March and September 2020. It will be operating again with the same criteria, taking applications of up to £10,000.

The government’s latest guidance for people who are clinically extremely vulnerable has been updated and is now available on gov.uk
Clinically extremely vulnerable residents, and anyone else self-isolating as a result of the latest lockdown restrictions, are reminded that our online Community Hub is open and provides a range of support, putting you in touch with volunteers and community groups who can help.
It also provides signposting to local and national initiatives providing practical support on things such as banking services, accessing benefits and fraud awareness.
While Nottinghamshire’s library buildings are temporarily closed, residents can still access the click and collect service including the popular home delivery option for those unable to collect books for themselves. More information is available on the Inspire website.
