It’s more important than ever to get your flu jab this year
This winter more than ever, with Covid-19 still circulating, we need to help reduce all avoidable risks. You can help protect the NHS, social care and loved ones by getting the flu vaccine – the single most effective way to prevent getting the flu and protecting those close to you.
Those eligible for the free vaccine are over 65s; pregnant women; school children up to year 7; toddlers aged 2 – 3 and people with underlying health conditions. If you are not eligible, you can pay for the vaccine at your local pharmacy.
The Queen’s Head pub in Kimberley has been forced to temporarily close after significant breaches of Covid-19 rules. It’s the first time a notice has been served by the County Council since gaining the power to help prevent, contain and manage local coronavirus in relation to individual premises.
Thankfully the majority of businesses are doing all they can to keep customers, staff and visitors safe but we will not hesitate to take action if businesses do not adhere to all Covid-19 measures.
We must all follow the rules to help stop the spread of infection in Notts. If you are concerned that the regulations are not being followed in your area please report it to Notts Police on 101.

Due to say 'I do' one of our registration offices?! We'd like to remind couples that the number of guests able to attend wedding and civil partnership ceremonies in Nottinghamshire is dependent on the venue’s capacity.
The Government announced recently that the maximum number of people able to attend ceremonies will be reduced from 30 to 15 from 28 September.
Social distancing measures on-site and the varying size of ceremony rooms means that ceremonies will be subject to a reduced capacity.

Children are prone to infections such as coughs and colds. All the infections that cause these are still around and it’s not always easy to know what may be Covid-19.

To make it work effectively, as many people as possible need to do the same so if you haven’t yet downloaded, we’d encourage you to do so by searching for 'NHS Covid-19’ in either the Apple or Google Play stores.
Just a reminder, it is now mandatory for designated venues such as pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and more to display an NHS Test and Trace QR poster, which allows app users to scan and ‘check in’ as they enter a venue.

Many residents have experienced important life changes since the covid pandemic, including some people finding themselves without work.
