Help us to stop the spread of Covid-19

Our Director of Public Health, Jonathan Gribbin, is urging everyone to play their part and stick with the guidance. Over the last few weeks the cases of Covid-19 are increasing across both the county and city and health chiefs are calling for people to help stop the spread of the virus.

As well as frequent hand washing, social distancing, self-isolating and getting a test if you have symptoms, people need to remember to follow the guidance when getting together in their homes – only two households can meet indoors.

People who have to car share for work should also take extra care, like sticking with the same group of people each time, wearing a face covering , opening the windows for ventilation and cleaning the car surfaces that people touch after each journey.

Enjoy Summer Safely

With warm weather expected across the country over the weekend it is important that you continue to enjoy summer safely. If you decide to head out in the Notts countryside or to one of our country parks please follow the Countryside Code and:

  • take all your rubbish home
  • not use barbecues as they risk cauing wildfires
  • keep dogs under control and on a lead around farm animals
  • leave gates as you find them and following instructions on signs
  • use footpaths and follow signs where they suggest alternative routes
