The popular Heart Seat is returning to Sleaford this February, located in the Market Place. From February 10th to 24th, visitors can celebrate someone or something they love by adding heart tags to the installation. There’ll also be other activities planned around it, to be confirmed soon.
Local businesses in Sleaford can get involved by hosting heart tags for people to collect. If your business is interested, please contact the team at ukspf@n-kesteven.gov.uk to enquire.

Sleaford’s Market Place has been transformed into a welcoming public space, perfect for events, markets, and community gatherings.
Thanks to funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and North Kesteven District Council, the area now features improved seating, landscaping, and a more attractive setting for visitors and locals alike to pause and appreciate its historic features including St Denys’ Church, and visit the surrounding businesses and venues. Come and experience it for yourself!
On set days each week – Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, there is now dedicated Blue Badge holder only parking on Market Place for the first time. Parking is between 9am-3pm only on those set days, with a two hour maximum stay and no return in one hour.
This season, experience two extraordinary events in North Kesteven that offer beauty, history, and inspiration.
Spring Bulb Pageant at Doddington Hall (5th February – 5th April)
Step into a breathtaking floral wonderland as Doddington Hall’s gardens burst into life with snowdrops, crocuses, heritage daffodils, and rare Edwardian varieties. This long-standing tradition, started in the 1950s, has seen over 150,000 bulbs planted in the last 25 years. Wander through vibrant displays of wood anemones and snake’s head fritillaries, and soak up the sights and scents of early spring. Gardens are open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am-4pm.
Women in Air Force Blue at Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum (opens 21st February)
Delve into the inspiring stories of the women who shaped the Royal Air Force. This fascinating exhibition highlights their journey from the Women’s Royal Air Force in 1918 to their full integration into the RAF today.
