June Review

In spite of the unseasonal weather, the garden is blossoming through the rain! We’ve had a lovely June full of visitors from all over, stretching from Australia to just up the road in Navenby.

The apple tree is looking very promising ready for Apple Day on September 28^th, but there’s lots of events to get involved in before then. Keep on reading to find out more.

The Big Butterfly Count

Are you taking part in the Big Butterfly Count? Why not spend a few minutes in the cottage garden to see what you can spot? Our gardens are free to enter and we’ve plenty of sunny benches or picnic blankets to share.

Washday Weekend 19^th – 22^nd July

Kickstart the Summer Holidays with our first Washday Weekend of 2024! Join us to have a go at washing the old fashioned way, using dolly tubs, the posser, and the mangle just like Mrs Smith.

Suitable for all ages, and included in your admission fee. We recommend booking your visit to avoid disappointment.

'Lincolnshire's Home Guard' Exhibition

In this exhibition by Dr Erik Grigg, learn that the Home Guard were more than the ‘bumbling bunch of buffoons‘ you may recognise from Dad’s Army.

NavenBees Toddler Group

Big Butterfly Count: Friday 12 July, 11am-12pm

Gardening: Friday 26 July, 11am-12pm

Bring your little bees along from 11am-12pm for hands-on learning about our natural world.

Rhymes, crafts and have-a-go gardening for ages 2-5.

No need to book, just drop in at 11am.

£2 per child, adults free.
