Our April Review
Our April was full of Easter fun, thank you for joining us! From handing out chick hunt prizes to making fluffy lambs with our NavenBees we had such a great time.
At our last session the toddler group planted out some courgettes and watered the blooms in Mrs Smith’s cottage garden. Some of our spares have made their way to our plant sale stand, so be sure to pop in if you’d like a head start on your veg plot too. After last year’s late frost meant a small harvest from Mrs Smith’s apple tree, we’re glad to see it in full bloom this year so keep everything crossed this lovely weather holds.
You may have seen we’ve had a couple of days during the holidays where we were fully booked – be sure to book your visit during peak times to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing you and wish you all the best for May.
No Mow May
As May begins we stop mowing our lawn to give pollinators a helping hand and encourage biodiversity.
We've taken part in No Mow May since we reopened, and have found our lawn is now much more drought resistant, and that new species of flowers and foliage have started popping up. We’re always looking to strike the balance of eco-friendliness while maintaining a practical space for schools, groups, and families to enjoy over the summer.
NK Walking Festival
It’s just a month until North Kesteven’s Walking Festival begins!
Join us on Friday 28th June at 10am for a led walk of the Navenby Heritage Trail and a tour of the Cottage followed by tea & cake in the cottage garden. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to see our walk go live and book your place. £4 per person.
