For Discover Lincolnshire Weekend, which falls during English Tourism Week, attractions and businesses from across the county will be opening their doors to visitors and residents with special offers, discounts, and deals. Explore the Heart of Lincs, including the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum, International Bomber Command Centre, Heckington Windmill, Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum, Cogglesford Watermill, and many more.

It’s a great opportunity to explore one of Lincolnshire's hidden gems or revisit one of your favourite places. Whether you're a seasoned local or new to the area, Discover Lincolnshire Weekend is a chance to celebrate our past, present, and future. Join history tours throughout towns in Lincolnshire and indulge in food and drink offers from various retailers.

Discovering Sleaford Castle

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the captivating history of Sleaford Castle at the 'Discover Sleaford Castle' exhibition, coming soon at Navigation House.

Delve into the depths of the past with a virtual recreation of the castle, offering a glimpse into its former grandeur. Uncover intriguing artifacts unearthed during recent archaeological excavations, shedding new light on the castle's storied past. From its medieval origins to its role in shaping local history, this exhibition promises to be a journey through time.

Visit Navigation House and unravel the mysteries of Sleaford Castle, uncovering the secrets hidden within its walls.

The exhibition will be free to visit during opening times: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am-2pm. Follow Navigation House on Facebook, Instagram and X for opening dates.


Caring for your Historic Home

Join Mrs Smith’s Cottage on March 16th from 12pm to 4pm for an enriching Historic Homes Taster Day.

As part of Discover Lincolnshire weekend, delve into the world of museum conservation and learn how to preserve your family treasures. Engage in a family-friendly museum pest bug hunt within the cottage, or discover hidden details under the microscope. Explore object handling and conservation sessions every half-hour.

Admission to this is included in your entry fee as a special offer this Discover Lincolnshire weekend: Adults £3.50, Children £2, Family £10. Don't miss this opportunity to unlock the secrets of historic homes while enjoying an immersive and educational experience for the whole family.

As part of National Lottery Open Week, Heckington Windmill are saying Thank You to all the players of the National Lottery! They’re offering complimentary entry to those who produce an in-date National Lottery Ticket, from Saturday 9th to Sunday 17th March.


Storm Henk Help

Do you know someone whose home or business was severely impacted by the floodwater from Storm Henk, between Tuesday 2nd and Friday 12th January 2024?
