A Tale of Two Apprentices at Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum

ATOTA

Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum is proud to announce the opening of their new exhibition, ‘A Tale of Two Apprentices’, landing on Monday 1st May.

The museum’s exhibition will showcase the experiences of two young men, Herbert Tomlin and Frank Whittle, who both joined the RAF as ‘Boy’ entrants and were trained as apprentices in technical trades and completed their apprenticeships at the Boys’ Wing, RAF Cranwell.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to follow both Herbert and Frank’s journeys from their early days as apprentices and through their respective journeys through life, RAF Cranwell remaining - for separate reasons - a recurring theme throughout their lives.
