There’s now just two weeks until Small Business Saturday, the national campaign that highlights the importance of SMEs to the local economy. A number of retailers have organised offers for the day which vary from 5-20% discount in store to a free hot drink if you mention Small Business Saturday in Cogglesford Watermill.
We want to promote all businesses so make sure you send any discounts you’ll be offering on the day to ecodev@n-kesteven.gov.uk
That’s not all, on Saturday 4 December, there will also be the Farmers’ Market and Christmas Market at the Market Place, the ‘Gifted’ Market at the Hub and a Pop-Up Market at Millstream Square.

The Council is a grant recipient of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding for the “Reopening High Street Safety Fund (EM28)” project. The Council is currently undergoing a procurement procedure for the provision of consultancy services to review the original Sleaford Masterplan, identify any challenges, access the impact of COVID-19 and produce recommendations for the Council to consider on how to proceed with Sleaford town.
The procurement opportunity is currently being advertised on the Contracts Finder: NKDC - Sleaford Masterplan (Refresh) - Contracts Finder and full access to the procurement documentation and the Council’s requirements can be made through the online portal, ProContract.
The QES is your chance to have a say on the issues which are affecting your business.

 The ARG Start-Up Grant is still open for applications; this support is available to businesses established on or after 12 April 2021. We are accepting applications from all sectors however priority will be given to those businesses that operate or will look to operate within the Retail, Hospitality or Leisure sectors.
As part of the application process, you will be required to submit a Business and Financial Plan which will be assessed by qualified business advisors who will work with you to support and drive your business forward. Applicants should be in a position to match-fund any potential award amount. Grants can only be awarded to businesses at point of trading.
