The Restart Grant is still open for applications. This support is available for businesses post 1 April that are in retail, hospitality, leisure and personal care. To apply for the Restart Grant please click here. The closing date is Wednesday 30 June 2021.


Atrract new customers with Fiver Fest

Fiver Fest

Totally Locally's Fiver Fest  starts tomorrow (Saturday 12 June) and will run for two weeks. It’s a national promotion that independent businesses can be a part of, don’t miss out on the opportunity to attract new customers. If you are interested in participating please email a member of the team with your business name and address and we can produce some promotional assets for your business.

A number of independent businesses are taking part and will offer either a product, bundle or service for £5. You can easily identify participating retailers as they will have one of the above posters in their shop window. All businesses taking part will be promoted on NKDC’s social media, reaching thousands of local people.


1.3 million employees move off furlough in March and April

Furlough numbers have fallen to their lowest level this year, according to official statistics published today, as the number of people relying on the scheme fell to 3.4 million.

The furlough scheme will remain in place until the end of September to ensure jobs are protected as businesses get back on their feet, and new figures also show that a total of 2.8 million people have benefitted from the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS). 'Room at the Inn' webinar

EU Settlement Scheme – Deadline end of June

The Home Office is advising businesses that the deadline of 30 June 2021 for applications is nearing to be made to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS). Visit www.gov.uk/eusettlementscheme for more information.
